TRAINING SPECIALIST

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide Classroom Instruction which includes learning the work practices and policies of the customer organization and incorporating these practices and policies while providing application training in various formats (e.g., classroom and individual coaching and presentations). Technical Writing and Maintenance including designing overall curriculum to meet determined needs; constructing manuals and relevant exercises for course participants; writing instructor notes and guidelines for courses; and, evaluating, revising and maintaining curriculum path. Product Specialist includes intimate knowledge regarding the products in use in the organization and marketplace. Develop and execute training plans and courses using this knowledge. This position develops, participates in and conducts technical training programs. The trainer is responsible for planning and modeling training objectives required by the customer organization; writes training Programs of Instruction (POI) in communications technology and applications including outlines, text, handouts, tests, and laboratory exercises. The trainer is also responsible for classroom lectures on capabilities, operations, tactics, techniques and methods following outlines, handouts and texts. Will administer written and practical exams and writes evaluation reports to rate trainee’s performance.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

5 years demonstrated skill, knowledge and experience in the field of technical training. Knowledgeable in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish training goals. Proven organizational skills; ability to organize, delegate, schedule, and plan effectively. Strong Communication skills with the ability to research, learn and present information. Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts into fundamental articles. Includes strong technical writing and curriculum development skills.
